 Description:

Slip disc, or herniated disc, occurs when the inner gel-like material of a spinal disc leaks through a tear in the disc’s outer layer.

Symptoms:

  • Sharp or shooting pain, numbness, and tingling that radiates down the back and legs.
  • Muscle weakness and difficulty with certain movements may also occur.

 

Ayurvedic Treatment:

Ayurvedic treatment for slip disc aims to reduce inflammation and promote disc healing.

  • Therapies like Panchakarma, especially Kati Basti and Griva Basti (neck treatment), might be used.
  • Herbal remedies such as Nirgundi Taila and Guggulu-based formulations can assist in pain relief and supporting disc health.
